Swayambunath Temple in Kathmandu offers spectacular views, as it is one of the higher temples in the Kathmandu Valley. Also known as the Monkey Temple, as monkeys roam free and steal fruit that are stashed away as offerings.
Looking contemplative but very serene with his prayer beads clutched in his hands, this elderly monk caught my eye. The Crocs, hiking stick and red paperboy cap added a modern contrast to his seemingly olden ways.
In this fleeting moment, all seems right in his world.
